La Sierra del Burro se encuentra dentro de la ANP Don Martín. Es un Área de Importancia para la Conservación de las Aves (AICA) reconocida por la CONANP y por el programa Birdlife International desde 2007.
Es un área de propiedad privada de ganaderos organizados para proteger la flora y fauna silvestre de su región, con un Ampliación de 125 a 150 mil has. Constituye un corredor importante para la migración porque tiene agua y árboles dentro de una región semidesértica. La conservación en la Sierra del Burro ha permitido la permanencia de especies amenazadas y es zona de permanencia de aves migratorias además de ser un área de distribución más al norte de varias especies de aves. Para este AICA se han reportado hasta 248 aves.
The Sierra del Burro is located within the Don Martín ANP. It is an Important Bird Conservation Area (AICA) recognized by CONANP and the Birdlife International program since 2007. It is a privately owned area of ranchers organized to protect the wild flora and fauna of their region, with an Expansion from 125 to 150 thousand hectares. It constitutes an important corridor for migration because it has water and trees within a semi-desert region. Conservation in the Sierra del Burro has allowed the permanence of threatened species and is a permanence area for migratory birds in addition to being a northernmost distribution area for several species of birds. For this AICA, up to 248 birds have been reported.
